A book that through its 21 lessons ranging from technology, politics, inequality to education, let us learn much from history and the present to make the future world a better place. A world certainly different from today, characterized by new technologies (which will create new jobs), new policies, new ways of living… It is definitely a very interesting book, very well written, to find out how we humans will evolve as well as our surroundings.
Un libro che, attraverso le sue 21 lezioni che spaziano dalla tecnologia, alla politica, alla disuguaglianza e all’istruzione, ci permette di apprendere molto dalla storia e dal presente per rendere il mondo futuro un posto migliore. Un mondo sicuramente diverso da quello di oggi, caratterizzato da nuove tecnologie (che creeranno nuovi lavori), nuove politiche, nuovi modi di vivere… È sicuramente un libro molto interessante, scritto in modo eccellente, per scoprire come evolveremo noi esseri umani e il nostro ambiente.

In a world deluged by irrelevant information , clarity is power. In theory, anybody can join the debate about the future humanity, but it so hard to maintain a clear vision. Frequently, we don’t even notice that a debate is going on, or what the key questions are. Billions of us can hardly afford the luxury of investigating, because we have more pressing things to do: we have to work, take care of the kids or look after elderly parents. Unfortunately, history gives no discounts. If the future of humanity is decided in your absence, because you are too busy feeding and clothing your kids – you and they will not be exempt from the consequences. This is very unfair; but who said history was fair?

Dr Yuval Noah Harari has a PhD in History from the University of Oxford and now lectures at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, specialising in World History. His books Sapiens, Homo Deus and 21 lessons for the 21st Century have become an international phenomenon.
